Floor Design and Support

The site visit reviews floor construction, depth, rigidity and surrounding levels. A suitable former or formed base creates the fall towards the drain, with support and preparation agreed before a level-access layout can be confirmed.

Drainage and Water Flow

The drain position, waste route and capacity are checked against the planned shower. Drainage needs to suit the floor build-up and connect to a suitable waste route, with any necessary plumbing changes identified in the quote.

Tanking and Sealed Junctions

Wet room tanking provides the waterproofing beneath the chosen finish. The agreed system covers the required areas, with sealed corners, wall-to-floor junctions and pipe entries, installed in line with its manufacturer’s guidance.

How does a wet room differ from a tray shower?

A tiled wet room uses a floor with falls to a drain and a tanking system beneath the finish. A tray shower contains water in the tray. We assess the floor and waste route before agreeing which build suits the room.

Could the work need approval?

Lance did multiple visits to us before starting work to ensure the best end result, our bathroom was a difficult refurbishment to say the least, but the final result is a testament to Lance and the teams skill and determination.

When the work was being completed they were clean and tidy, often worked incredibly long days and kept me informed on any changes or challenges. He worked with us to keep to our budget updated us on any additional material charges.

When I moved into my house, I knew there was gonna be a lot of work to do following previous leaks in the en suite and previous bad workmanship. All the team were professional, trustworthy and skilled in how they transformed my house. They kept everything clean and tidy (I even caught them hoovering my doorstep at one stage!) and made the house useable in between their working days. I had a very specific vision and they were able to make my dreams come to life and I’m so pleased with the end result.
They ripped out my old suites, replaced rotten floor boards, rebuilt damaged walls and install all new paperwork. Nothing was too much trouble and they were also the most competitive quote I received.
I have a kitchen and artexed ceilings to be renovated in the new year and there is no one else I would consider using.
