Which flooring is most suitable for each room?

The right choice depends on how the room is used, the amount of daily traffic, and the surface beneath the new floor. Laminate, engineered wood, luxury vinyl tile and vinyl each suit different situations. The property visit allows the material to be considered alongside the room rather than choosing from appearance alone.

What happens if the subfloor is uneven?

Uneven areas may need preparation or levelling before the selected flooring can be installed. The work required depends on the extent of the variation, the existing surface and the material being fitted. Assessing the subfloor first allows any necessary preparation to be included in the written quotation.

Can the existing flooring remain underneath?

That depends on the current material, its condition, and the flooring you want to install. Some surfaces may provide a suitable base, while others may need to be removed. The resulting floor level, adjoining thresholds and access through nearby doorways also need to be considered before the installation route is agreed.

At what stage should flooring be installed during renovation work?

Flooring should be sequenced around work that could mark, damage or disturb the new surface. Structural changes, plastering, and some kitchen or bathroom work may need to happen first. From beginning to end him and the team were professional, knowledgeable and communicative. Lance did multiple visits to us before starting work to ensure the best end result, our bathroom was a difficult refurbishment to say the least, but the final result is a testament to Lance and the teams skill and determination. When the work was being completed they were clean and tidy, often worked incredibly long days and kept me informed on any changes or challenges. He worked with us to keep to our budget updated us on any additional material charges. My neighbour even commented on how friendly and polite they all were. I have already recommended Lance to multiple people but will also have them back for any other renovation we need completing in the future. I wouldn't go with anyone else now.

They have renovated both my bathroom and en-suite as well as repairing and replastering my living room ceiling following existing water damage. When I moved into my house, I knew there was gonna be a lot of work to do following previous leaks in the en suite and previous bad workmanship. All the team were professional, trustworthy and skilled in how they transformed my house. They kept everything clean and tidy (I even caught them hoovering my doorstep at one stage!) and made the house useable in between their working days. I had a very specific vision and they were able to make my dreams come to life and I’m so pleased with the end result. They ripped out my old suites, replaced rotten floor boards, rebuilt damaged walls and install all new paperwork. Nothing was too much trouble and they were also the most competitive quote I received.
